Socks, Waivers, and Snacks: Fun Factory Visitor Guide

The rules every first-time visitor asks about, explained plainly. What to sign, what to wear, and what you can bring through the door.

Socks: non-negotiable and for everyone

Fun Factory is a socks-only facility. That means every child and every adult on the play floor wears socks at all times. No bare feet, no shoes, no exceptions. The rule keeps surfaces cleaner and reduces slips on climbing equipment.

Forgot socks? Reception sells them for $3 per pair. We keep common sizes in stock for last-minute visits, but bringing your own saves a few dollars and guarantees the fit your kid likes.

Grip socks are fine. Regular cotton socks are fine. Just make sure they are clean and cover the foot fully. If a child tries to enter without socks, staff will pause check-in until you have a pair.

Waivers: sign before you arrive

Every child needs a signed waiver before they can play. The waiver covers facility rules, assumption of risk, and emergency contact information. One waiver per child per visit policy may apply depending on how our form is configured for the season.

Complete the waiver online from your phone before you leave home. That single step cuts front-desk wait time, especially on busy Saturday mornings. Have your partner or grandparents sign for children they are bringing if you will not be there at check-in.

Waivers are separate from party bookings. If you are hosting a birthday, send the waiver link to guests in your e-vite message so parents arrive ready.

Food, drinks, and snacks

Outside drinks are not allowed inside Fun Factory. Water and juice for parties are included in birthday packages. For drop-in visits, order beverages from Littles & Lattés Café or plan drink breaks in the car.

Nut-free outside food is allowed. Many parents pack sandwiches, fruit, or allergen-safe snacks for picky eaters. Keep snacks in a small bag and eat in designated seating areas, not on the play structures.

The café menu includes premium coffee, iced drinks, smoothies, and snacks for parents and kids. View the full menu on our café page before you visit if you want to budget for a latte and a cookie.

Practical arrival checklist

Address: 1420 Bayly St., Unit 15, Pickering, ON L1W 3R4. Free parking in the plaza. Enter through the main Fun Factory doors and head to the front desk for drop-in or party check-in.

Bring socks, signed waivers, and payment for admission. We accept cash, credit, and debit. Access 2 Card holders get $2 off drop-in rates.

Maximum two adults per family are included with child admission. Supervision is required at all times. Play structures are designed for active kids, so stay within sight even when you are seated.

Hours from September 8, 2026: Monday and Wednesday 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm (50% off admissions after 3:30 pm), Friday to Sunday 9:30 am to 8:30 pm. Check our contact page for holiday exceptions.

Strollers can usually stay near seating areas. Lock valuables in your car and keep phones in pockets while supervising active climbers.

Party guests versus drop-in visitors

Birthday party families check in at the desk with a booking confirmation. The host directs you to your private room window. Waivers still apply to every child playing.

Drop-in visitors pay per person and receive unlimited play. Party guests play on the same structures during shared hours unless you booked the Ultimate package for private facility use.

If you are attending a party as a guest, confirm with the host whether siblings can stay for drop-in play after the room time ends. Extra admissions would be charged separately at desk rates.

Photography is welcome for personal use. Flash is fine in the party room. On the play floor, stay out of traffic lanes so other families can supervise their own kids safely.

Lost and found items end up at the front desk. Label jackets and water bottles with names on busy weekends to speed pickup when you leave.

FAQ

Can we wear grip socks from another play centre?

Yes, as long as they are clean socks that cover the feet. Grips are welcome.

Are peanuts allowed in the facility?

We allow nut-free outside food. If your child has a severe allergy, speak with staff at check-in so we can note it for your visit.
